Well we are officially members of the Houston Zoo! Saturday we decided to go the zoo as a family. It was a little chilly but the weather was so beautiful it was hard to stay in doors. But before we left, we got dressed in our Cat in the Hat outfit for Dr. Seuss' birthday.

We also had to visit the doctor this past week and it turns out we have a mild case of baby eczema. The doctor wasn't worried about it and said it is common especially since we are in Texas. I used some lavender soap and lotion a few weeks ago and that may have irritated her skin so all of that was thrown out when I got home--we now ONLY use MUSTELA! Yes, its expensive but its worth it. So the doctor said to use that and just lotion up constantly. I have really bad dry skin when I was young but it was never diagnosed as eczema but upon researching some of the creams used I may have had it they just didn't put a label. Thankfully I outgrew it but I guess I passed it on to Peyton and the doctor thinks she will outgrow it too.
We now have 4 TEETH! And the 5th one is on its way..that has to be a record--3 teeth in 1 month.
Looks like a fun zoo day! Sam had eczema throughout his first year. He had to take showers instead of baths (sitting in soapy water aggrevates it), had to use fragrance-free everything, Eucerin lotion, and Tide free-and-clear detergent. It went away, but his skin is still sensitive to certain products. Hopefully, Peyton's clears up as well!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know its not just us! I just hate seeing her sweet skin splotchy and dry.
